Beacon Health Options Wins Seven Awards for Excellence in Marketing and Communications

Beacon Health Options (Beacon), a national leader in behavioral health management, announced today that it received a total of seven awards from the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (ACMP), the Academy of Interactive & Visual Arts and the eHealthcare Leadership Awards. The awards were received in the print, advertising, social media and special events categories.

ACMP recognized Beacon for a third consecutive year with its MarCom Awards, as follows:

  • Combatting the Crisis of Opioid Addiction brochure (Platinum in the print category)
  • Awesome Beacon Bike Ride – A month-long ride from Boston to Miami to raise funds for, and awareness about, mental health (Gold in the special events category)
  • Beacon Lens blog – The company’s blog that provides rapid response to the most pressing and controversial issues in behavioral healthcare today (Gold in the social media category)

ACMP also awarded Beacon two Honorable Mentions: one in the social media campaign category for Beacon’s Mental Health Month initiative and the second in the advertising category for its promotional piece on its long-standing sponsorship of the National Council for Behavioral Health Conference.

The Beacon Lens blog was also awarded a Silver W3 award by the Academy of Interactive & Visual Arts. This marks the 4th consecutive year that Beacon earned a W3 award for excellence on the web.

Additionally, Beacon’s member web site, Achieve Solutions, was honored with a Silver Award for Best Health Care Content in the 17th Annual eHealthcare Leadership Awards.  The web site was recognized for its credible, understandable an actionable health information. This is the 11th time Achieve Solutions has garnered an eHealthcare Leadership Award.

The MarCom Awards is a global creative competition, administered by ACMP, for any individual or company involved in the concept, writing, and design of print, visual, audio, and web materials and programs. The competition receives approximately 6,000 entries per year from corporate marketing and communication departments, advertising agencies, public relations firms, design shops, production companies, and freelancers.

The Academy of Interactive & Visual Arts sanctions and judges the W³ Awards, which honors creative excellence on the web, and recognizes the creative and marketing professionals behind award-winning sites, videos and marketing programs.

The eHealthcare Leadership Awards recognize the very best websites and digital communications of healthcare organizations, online health companies, pharmaceutical/medical equipment firms, agencies/suppliers, and business improvement initiatives. The awards highlighted the Internet’s role in achieving an organization’s business objectives and recognize the work that has gone into creating outstanding health websites and digital initiatives.
