The State of Mental Health in America, 2018

The number of American adults with a mental health condition is more than the populations of New York and Florida combined. And though more Americans have access to services today, most of us still lack access to care.

These are just a few of the latest facts and figures from Mental Health America (MHA), the nation’s leading community-based non-profit dedicated to addressing the needs of those living with mental illness and to promoting the mental health of all Americans, as well as a valued partner of Beacon. In addition to illustrating the prevalence of mental illness, MHA’s latest findings illuminate our nationwide disparities in mental health care, a critical step in promoting change for the many Americans struggling to access treatment.
