Claims Resources

Although paper claims are accepted, physicians, other health care professionals, and facilities are strongly encouraged to submit claims electronically.

Beginning on March 1, 2022, Availity Essentials is the preferred multi-payer portal of choice for submitting the following transactions to Beacon Health Options:

  • Claim Submissions (Direct Data Entry Professional and Facility Claims) applications or EDI using the Availity EDI Gateway
  • Eligibility & Benefits
  • Claim Status

Electronic claim submissions can be made utilizing your current clearinghouse or through Availity Essentials, Beacon Health Options’ preferred multi-payer portal of choice. When utilizing a clearinghouse, please visit their payer ID page and utilize the value identified for Beacon Health Options, as this may vary payer to payer. When submitting through Availity, files should contain Payer ID  ‘BEACON963116116’ and comply with  X12 837 format.
